Petrovaradin Fortress

We visited this beautiful fortress in November 2006. One of the things we noticed is that they are (still?) renovating several parts of the fortress. But it is not a construction site, it just looks very beautiful.

Just enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, it is big enough to find a quiet place where you can start imagine how things looked 300 years ago. In the distance you will hear a tourguide talking about the bombed bridges of Novi Sad during the Nato bombings in 1999. A strange mix, history and recent history coming together at this place.
